2 – Selecting the Tax System for your Country
EasyAs is designed to be used by most countries on the metric system who’s currency is at a ratio of 1/100. |
By default the software is set to a Single Tax System. This is noted by the word ON which is shown beside the “1 Tax System” icon.
|
If your country only adds one form of Sales Tax to goods or services, then you can leave this set on the default of 1 Tax System. Please be aware that this will be the most common option for most countries..
|
If your country or region requires that you collect Two types of Sales Tax on goods or services then you will need to click on the icon that says “2 Tax System”. To date we are only aware of one country where this may be applicable |
EasyAs is becoming a favorite for use by the residents of Canada. Some of the regions of Canada require that businesses collected the Federal Sales Tax and the Regional Sales Tax (BC Tax). If you are a resident of Canada and you are in one of these regions then you should change this setting to the 2 Tax System prior to entering any data into the program |
3 – Invoice Numbering System
With EasyAs you can set the software to start your Invoices, Quotes, Purchase Orders and Credit Notes from any number you choose.. |
By Default the system will start your numbers from number ONE |
To change the starting numbers simply enter the number you wish to start from. You cannot however use any letters of the alphabet, only numbers.
. |
Promote Longevity: In some industries it may appear more advantageous to present to your clients the air of longevity. By starting your invoices at 150, or 500 or 5000 means clients may assume that you are a vibrant and lively enterprise; where as starting at number 1 may make them wonder if they are your first client for the year. |
4 – Sales Tax
Sales Tax – Name and Percentage Rate
The Sales Tax Name and Percentage Rates are also changeable on this screen.. If you look towards the right of the screen you will notice that you can enter a default percentage rate for Sales Tax. You can also enter up to 3 Letters for the name of the Sales Tax. For example, in Australia the name of the Sales Tax is – GST, other countries use VAT or TAX etc.. |
5 – Quote Matching System
Quotes and Invoices with the Same Number
We have introduced the ability for you to be able to issue quotes and invoices with the same matching number. This is useful for a handyman for example who gives out a quote for a small job and then issues an invoice when the job is completed. Because he only ever issues one quote and one invoice per job he can ensure the system always provides the same matching number.. This way if he is ever looking for an invoice he knows that the quote will also be the same number. This has proven to be useful for many individuals across multiple industries. This system should not be used by those whom may issue progressive invoices.. Such as a builder who might provide a quote at the start of the job but issues 2 or 3 invoices as he progresses with the job. However this can be turned on or off at any time. So if you do use this method and your circumstance change you can simply turn it off and go back to the standard method of invoicing and quoting… More information is provided by clicking the icon called “Quote Matching System”
